Installation method of generator/generator assembly

Disassembly and assembly of automotive silicon rectifier generator 1. Inspection before disassembly (1) Clean the exterior of the generator; (2) Hand held pulley test for axial and radial clearance of bearings before testing; (3) Rotate the rotor and check for bearing resistance, noise, and any friction or abnormal noise between the rotor and stator. When significant resistance is found, remove the brush and try again to determine whether the resistance comes from the brush or the bearing; (4) Rotate the rotor shaft to visually inspect the runout of the pulley to determine if the rotor shaft is bent; (5) Check for cracks and damage in the casing, hanging feet, and other parts. 2. Disassemble the silicon rectifier generator. (1) Remove the rear bearing cover and oil seal, and unscrew the rotor shaft fastening nut; (2) Remove the fastening screws of the front and rear end covers to separate the front end cover with the rotor from the rear end cover with the stator, and make the same mark on the front and rear end covers and the stator core for easy reassembly; (3) Remove the fastening nut of the pulley, remove the pulley, fan, and half round key, separate the rotor from the front cover, and be careful not to pull the stator coil lead wire off; (4) Remove the front bearing cover and take out the front bearing; (5) Remove the protective cover from the rear cover; (6) Remove the connecting nut between the stator coil wire end and the neutral wire end on the component board, separate the stator from the component board (heat dissipation plate), and remove the stator assembly; (7) Remove the nuts securing the component board assembly and the armature terminal on the rear cover, and remove the component board assembly. 3. Assembly of the generator. (1) First, add No. 1-3 composite calcium based grease to the bearing, but the amount of grease filled in the bearing should not be too much to avoid overflow and splashing on the slip ring, causing poor contact of the electric brush; (2) Assemble the bearings of the front and rear end covers separately (201 # 203 #); (3) Install the rectifier component board onto the rear cover (do not miss the insulation pad); (4) Install the stator assembly onto the rear end cover and connect it to the rectifier component board (the four wiring terminals on the stator winding should be natural and not forcefully pulled or folded to avoid rotor scratches); (5) Install the rotor assembly onto the stator and rear end cover; (6) Combination connection of front and rear end covers (note that the nut of the connecting bolt is facing the fan, and the connecting bolt should be tightened diagonally. While tightening, rotate the rotor to check if it scratches the stator, so as to avoid burning the rotor and stator. If there is a phenomenon of rotor scraping the stator, use a wooden hammer to strike the generator casing for adjustment); (7) Assemble the half round key, fan, pulley, and rotor shaft front and rear fixing nuts; (8) Assemble the brush holder assembly (note that the position of the brush holder and the copper slip ring on the rotor shaft should be aligned, and one brush should not eat two slip rings, which will prevent power generation); (9) The assembled generator should rotate flexibly, without any jamming, scraping or collision sounds, and the rotor shaft should not have any movement
